The Ops Identity Crisis

The last few years have seen a growing blurring between the developers and operators. Many organizations no longer want to have developers create and operators run software, rather they want developers to handle the operation of their systems, and rightly so! Operators have far too long been thrown less than complete software that they have to then operate on their environments. The challenge to this change is to understand how operators fit in this new world.
